Ready for a road trip?

Come join other Mercy Church women as we go to Oklahoma City, Dec. 4-5, 2009, for an awesome spiritual retreat with Beth Moore and friends at the Cox Business Services Convention Center.

Tickets are $75.00 each. We need to make hotel reservations, so please advise ASAP if you are interested. We can put up to 4 people in a room to keep costs down.

The plan is to drive up Friday afternoon, attend the conference, eat dinner Saturday after the conference, and drive back! Check out this website for more details.

2nd annual coat drive

Help others stay warm this winter by cleaning out your closets and donating any of the following items that you or your family members may have outgrown or no longer need.

What: coats (any size), gloves, hats, scarves and blankets
When: every Sunday in November
Where: look for the table in the church commons

It's a Holiday Bazaar!

Just wanted to let everyone know about an upcoming event sponsored by several of the women in our church:

Holiday Bazaar
(open house style with appetizers and drinks)
Monday, November 2, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Location: 14520 Oak Valley Dr., Gardner, Kan.

This will be a night of eating and shopping! Drawings will be held throughout the evening by each of the following companies: Avon, Scentsy, Tastefully Simple, Stampin’ Up, Tupperware, Pampered Chef, Sewing ‘N Stuff by Donna, Silpada and more.

New Bible study starting this Friday

Do you have too many things going on and don't have enough time for God? Find the time with us every Friday morning at 9:30 a.m. Our first study will be this Friday, Oct. 2, at Wendy Dickerson's home: 15416 Alcan St. in Olathe. We'll fellowship, spend time with the Lord and go through the book Smart Girls Think Twice by Jan Silvious. This group will be a safe place to share your prayers, concerns, struggles and problems. Come have a muffin and a cup of joe with us. It'll kick-start your weekend!

Dining Devotion -- our newest small group

Ladies, please join us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays (opposite Girls Just Wanna Have Fun; see dates at left) to enjoy some good food and great company while discussing various biblical topics.

An easy (but tasty!) dinner will be provided by a different person each time, and recipe cards (if the dinner was homemade) will be handed out so you can try it at home if you'd like.
